Hi, I’m Sarah — I grew up in Hong Kong, now live in Australia, and I’ve always seen food as more than just fuel. After founding Alg Seaweed in 2017, I created Umei to help people cook (and eat) with confidence, using flavours that feel familiar and fresh at the same time.
We exist to make your meals bolder and your cooking easier — because when flavour is fearless, life gets more delicious.
