Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Sarah, founder of Umei Foods. I grew up in Hong Kong and now live in Australia, where I’ve always seen food as more than just fuel. After founding Alg Seaweed in 2017, I created Umei to help people cook (and eat) with confidence using flavours that feel both familiar and fresh.
