Umei makes bold, Asian-inspired condiments that are packed with umami and designed to make everyday meals taste so much better. Think: Japanese-style mayo, Korean gochugaru mayo, yuzu-infused flavour bombs. All plant-based, egg-free, and made with real ingredients.

Yes. Once opened, please keep your Umei mayo refrigerated and use within 4-6 weeks for best quality and freshness.
It’s got a gentle, warming kick — more flavourful than fiery as we added shiitake mushroom powder, onion and garlic. If you can handle a mild-medium spice, you’ll love it.
We currently offer four signature flavours:
Yuzu Mayo – zesty and bright
Uma Seaweed Mayo – savoury and umami
Gochugaru Mayo – smoky, mildly spicy with Korean chilli
Japanese Style Mayo – smooth, classic, and versatile

Yes! All Umei mayos are completely plant-based and eggless, made to deliver the same creamy texture and umami kick as traditional Japanese mayonnaise — without any animal products.
We're proudly based in Melbourne, Australia, and inspired by the vibrant flavours of Asia. Our mission is to make Asian condiments accessible, modern, and plant-based.
Our products do not contain soy or sesame as ingredients. However, they are produced in a facility that also handles soy, so there may be traces present.
Keep your mayo in a cool, dry place before opening. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 4-6 weeks for best flavour and freshness.

Unfortunately, we’re not yet able to ship to NT due to high shipping costs and transit times—but we’re working on it!

Orders & Shipping
Shipping cost between $7.99-$9.90 for standard shipping.
Shipping is free on all orders over $72.
We use Australia Post or Sendle as courier partners.
We’re a small team and ship a few times a week.
Please allow 2–3 business days for your order to be packed and dispatched. You’ll receive tracking once it’s on its way.
Most orders arrive within 2–7 business days, depending on your location.
